On the first day of class a language proficiency test is given to determine correct placement.
Hours 1 and 2 are devoted to Spanish linguistics. Third hour choices include: Broadening Vocabulary, Spanish Culture, History of Modern Spain, Spanish for business, Literary Text Analysis, and Translation from English. A fourth hour of study is offered for a small fee. Select from Spanish Dance, Spanish Guitar, Spanish Cooking, Art History of Spain, Economy and Society of Spain, Contemporary Spanish Literature and Spanish Film or Oral Skills.
A weekend cultural excursion to Pamplona for the Festival of San Fermín is included in this course.

This course is for students who have previously completed the Spanish Language and Culture I course and are returning to Salamanca to continue their immersion experience.

Intensive Language and Culture I & II
This four week course combines the work of the Spanish Language and Culture I class with an additional 2 week session. Students will continue to study language for 3 hours a day at the university and elect an additional Spanish culture course. Classes include Spanish Dance, Spanish Cooking/Film, Spanish Guitar. Each of these classes is taught in Spanish. (12 hours class time).
A weekend cultural excursion to Pamplona for the Festival of San Fermín is included in this course. One additional weekend cultural excursion is also part of the course.
